Threshold Obscured
2017
‘It was always this way, the more people talked, the more they obscured. You didn’t need to argue for the truth, you could see it’ (Max Barry, Lexicon).
So much of our lives are mediated through glass screens. Even a mother and child relationship is mediated this way to some extent. Threshold Obscured 2017 documents a silent communication between myself and my son, using glass as a mediating threshold. When the steam obscures our view of each other, it seems like we will never be able to communicate the same way again. When the steam clears, our truths are revealed, however hard they may be to understand.
Threshold Obscured 2017 was a finalist in the Motion Capture Festival 2017
